My Story

My whole life I have been very healthy. Nothing ever got in my way. I had tons of energy. I could eat any food, with out consequences. No weight gain or tummy upset in any way. I maintained a regular weight of 100 lbs for over a decade due to my high energy and low appetite.  I never got sick and I never had any injuries or illnesses. I spent a lot of time out doors and in the sun.

In 2009, I got very sick- very drastically. I would work at my flower shop from 9-5, come home, and I was so exhausted that I'd fall asleep on the couch. Sleep until about 8:30pm, wake up, shower, and go to bed. I was too tired to cook or eat.  I assumed that my body was just going through something and it would pass.

  But it didn't.
It continued for a few weeks. I finally decided to go to the doctor. I assumed I was low on Iron. So they did a blood panel. My mom called my cell and asked them to do a Lyme test on a whim. I told her she was crazy. I never had a tick. I have removed a few ticks from other people, but never from myself.

The Western Blot test came back positive! At the time, I didn't realized what this meant to my future, but the doctor knew. He was pretty frantic when he told me to close my business, drop everything and get to his office asap! He prescribed Doxycycline. I believe he gave me 350mg once a day for 2 weeks. That was the wrong thing to do! It should have been double that!

The next 2 years were terrible. Everything I ate immediately turned to diarrhea. At one point my employees told me that if I lost more weight or got weaker, they were going to check me into the hospital for a few days. I also became very sensitive to the heat and sun. I get nauseous and feel like I'm going to pass out with in a few minutes of being in the sun.

I started having terrible pain in my feet. Even socks hurt. It felt like I had no fat pads on my feet. Then my fingers started hurting. I went to Orthopedists, Podiatrist, Neurologist, lots of MDs. They all said "this doesn't make sense". All the blood tests came back negative for additional problems. Over the counter pain killers or anti-inflammatory didn't help.

I had given up hope. All the forums and other people I spoke to, said there is nothing you can do once you have it. I eventually met a woman who told me to try antibiotic therapy. I have always been against antibiotics. I feel that they are over prescribed and do more damage to your body than people realize. But- I needed to get my life back, so I decided to give it a try.

For 2 years I used switched every 2 weeks between the 5 different classes of antibiotics. That way the spirochetes couldn't become immune to the meds. (I always started off with a week of only biofilm enzymes). I had pretty good success with this. But we had concerns about my liver and kidneys. Then my doctor retired and moved out of state.

3 more years have gone by and the symptoms are all getting worse. Now I have pain in my spine as well as in my feet, knees, and muscles. I've gained 24 lbs. My fatigue has skyrocketed again.

So it's time I check out the Sierra Integrative Medical Center.
