Sept 2nd and 3rd (the weekend)

On Saturday we had appointments with Dr. Maged for Prolozone.

Mom went first. She was excited because she saw him for the first time on Weds night, when he injected her about 8 times at the base of her skull and neck to release the pain in her neck. Since it worked so well on Weds night and it didn't hurt, she had high hopes for Saturday. So after he did the injections, mom got up and tried to walk away- only to be told... he's not done. Apparently Weds was just a tester to make sure she wouldn't have a reaction to the first round of medication. Since she didn't he was ready to administer the ozone! I thought mom was going to faint!

But it went well and she was off to her hair appointment, leaving me to my own fate 😔

For me, we discussed the pain in my feet and the pain in my eyes. So he decided to try the test injections into my neck and my eyebrows! Yep... my eyebrows! I could hear the squishing of the medication under my skin! Yuck!

I didn't feel any pain in my eyes on Saturday although all I did was work on my computer for about 6 hrs. But today (Sunday) we spent the day in Truckee and my eyes only got a little sore. Success! and that was with out the ozone! (Mom said the ozone causes a little burning under the skin or the feeling of lots of little bee stings).

Our next appointment is Weds night, which means we get to skip our push that day. So only 4 pushes left!

Here are some pics from our little trip to the Emigrant Museum at Donner Lake!
This rock was the fire place for one of the cabins. When the rescue crew came back in the spring to collect the left over items, they found nearly 40 bodies and buried them here.
Here are the names of the whole Donner Party.

They made this monument so tall so that it would always stand above the snow. One of the 3 cabins stood at this location.
